Your first chapter
The flowers on your walk. The birds in the trees. A photograph today becomes something to look back on next season.
On the live page, photographs and sounds will appear here after a custodian has reviewed them. This pitch contains no local sightings.

A flower, a bird, a sound or a small change. You do not need to know its name.
A date, a place and a few words. An adult shares contributions from a school group.
They check what can be shared before it joins the public collection. Suggested names still need a human check.

What’s flowering now? Who’s visiting? Small observations build a story through the seasons.
A closer look, close to home
You don’t have to be an expert. Pick one small place, watch for a few minutes and share what caught your eye.

Watch a flower without touching the insects. Was anything visiting? If you are unsure what it was, say so.
Add what you noticedTHE SAME LITTLE PATCH
Return to the same spot next week. Take another photograph and compare. Different weather or time of day may affect what you see.
Add what you noticedIdeas informed by the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan. These are invitations to observe, not claims about species already recorded here. Suggested names still need a human check.
For schools & local groups
A class can follow one planter through the year. A teacher or another responsible adult shares the group’s observations, and a local custodian checks them before they appear here.
The public collection contains reviewed contributions. School participation and tile locations are agreed with the adults responsible for each place.
A window into the neighbourhood
Flowers. Trees. Birds. Butterflies. A simple invitation to notice what is around us.
The idea is to make the local SuperValu a starting point for Churchtown’s nature story: connecting nearby schools, gardens and neighbours through small places to observe.
This is a proposal. Store involvement, participating schools and tile locations have not been agreed.
Support would help people take part; it would never decide what their observations say.
